Short-term data
- IP hashes or equivalent rate-limit identifiers are kept for 7 days.
- Raw evidence snapshots are kept for 180 days by default.
- Full URL paths, query strings and fragments that are not needed after normalization are discarded.
Retention
Retention exists so reports can be replayed, corrections can be audited, and unnecessary user data is not kept.
To make reports auditable, the service keeps source links, retrieval time, source type, excerpt hash, content hash, rule version, publication policy version, computed label, published label, publication reason and correction records.
If a report enters an appeal or dispute state, related snapshots are placed on dispute hold. After the dispute closes, they are generally kept for another 2 years so the correction process can be checked.
